Paper Party Bag Mania!

We are into our second month of online trading now and its been great to hear suggestions from our customers about new products they would like to see. We have added to our range of paper party bags, which now includes orange, dark green and white Kraft paper bags with twisted handles. We should have natural brown ones arriving later this week. The white bags are great for children to decorate themselves at parties, but also lovely for giving to children at weddings filled with goodies to keep them busy! Customers have commented how they love the traditional look of them compared to the more commonly used plastic loot bags.

Sunny days and garden parties

Yesterday, we had some sun. After our particularly harsh winter (yes I know its not even technically spring yet!) it was a very welcome change. It was (almost) warm enough to not wear a jacket and it got me thinking of long summer days in the garden, pimms and lemonade and barbecues.

This year I'm looking forward to hanging some of our lovely bunting in the garden when we have parties, and paper lanterns for after dark. Check out our bunting range to bring life to your garden, even if the sun doesn't shine they guarantee to bring some vintage cheer!

We're Online!

Well, what a month it has been! After selling party bits and bobs locally for a while, Sweet Pea Parties finally made it's web debut on February 4th. Its been almost 8 months in the making from the initial concept through to delivery. In that 8 months we have researched, researched, and researched some more the party industry, and learnt a lot. What we found was that like us, people wanted something a little different for their parties. In particular, we noticed a big trend for a hark back to more traditional themes, an appreciation of vintage style, and nostalgia. Can these trends extend to the party industry? We certainly think so!

Tired of hunting down individual items from individual sites, we wanted to provide our customers with everything they needed to create a beautiful party all in one place. When it comes to party bags for children's parties, we found out that based on a survey from Tesco in 2007, the average spend on a party bag is now £7.48. Whilst we offer a range of products to suit a variety of budgets, we feel strongly that if you are going to be spending any amount of money, then it should be on something a little more enduring and good value for money

Its been a very encouraging month and we have had lots of lovely feedback from happy customers. Its great to know that people like the products, and we are fulfilling a need for people are looking for something a little different for their parties.
